Center for Caring

Established in 2007 as an independent nonprofit organization, the St. Paul Center for Caring is a growing community service center in the Five Corners neighborhood of Jersey City, housed in and run by St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Center for Caring manages relationships with nonprofit organizations that use our facilities, working with organizations that serve the poor, the abused, and the neglected. We are grateful to city and county officials who have helped pave the way for this new center.
Major renovations have enabled us to offer space to additional community groups, most notably Hudson County CASA (court appointed special advocates). Beverly Savage, executive director of Hudson County CASA, was instrumental in bringing the Community Development Block Grant that began the renovation process. We also look forward to welcoming Habitat for Humanity of Hudson County.
A large meeting room in the parish hall / community center and a smaller one in the church basement accommodate a variety of groups, regularly or on an ad hoc basis. One of our big advantages to community groups looking for meeting space is that we have a parking lot!
