Members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will meet on Sunday, February 5, after worship, at approximately 11:30 am. Important decisions are before us. We will reflect on our mission together, hear reports from our various ministries, and vote on these agenda items:
- 2012 budget

- Church council members and officers, as well as Sunday School superintendent and synod assembly representatives
- A proposal for a community garden
All voting members are expected to attend. Guests and prospective members are welcome.
Sharing Place feeds our neighbors
February 2, 2012
Please join us in serving our needy neighbors – volunteer at the Sharing Place. Our food ministry distributes bags of groceries to disadvantaged families, as well as bags of ready-to-eat food for the homeless, on the last two Saturdays of each month. In February, that’s Saturday the 18th and the 25th. Volunteers gather at 7 am to begin making up bags and serving our neighbors. We also need help with the truck that brings the food from the Community Food Bank on Wednesday, February 15, at 8:30 am. If you can help, please contact Paul LaCourtna, site supervisor, at 201-725-7202.

On Saturday, December 24, the Sharing Place distributed hundreds of donated winter coats, as well as hats, scarves, and mittens, donated by community groups, members of St. Paul’s, and our neighbors in the Five Corners of Jersey City. These gifts were much appreciated. Thanks to all who donated!
Project Reach
October 31, 2011
Project Reach is a new addition to the offerings of the Sharing Place, St. Paul’s hunger ministry. We’ve been inviting social services organizations that work with low-income people to visit with our clients on one of the last two Saturdays of the month. Health-related organizations, groups serving seniors, and a financial literacy program are among the recent or upcoming offerings. If your organization is interested in reaching out to our needy neighbors, please contact the Sharing Place’s executive director, Maureen Cassidy, at 201. 963.5518.
