Prayer walk and potluck for Pentecost, May 27

May 13, 2012

Pentecost stained glass windowThe feast of Pentecost, which this year falls on Sunday, May 27, celebrates the birthday of the church, when God sent the Holy Spirit on Jesus’ disciples, who then converted more than 3,000 people to the new faith in the crucified and risen Lord (Acts 2). St. Paul’s Lutheran Church celebrates with a festive Eucharist at 10:15 am. Before the regular worship service, we’ll make a prayer walk through the neighborhood, beginning at Journal Square at 9:15 am. After worship, we’ll share a potluck lunch. Please join us for all or part of this celebration. Wear red to symbolize the Holy Spirit!
